Fire Safety

Last reviewed: 26 Feb 25

These activities have been chosen to support primary school aged children in learning about The Great Fire of London. They include historical materials, to teach young people how the fire service has changed over time, creative tasks to develop literacy, and some important fire safety messages.

How To Use

These materials can be used by teachers for in-class activities or homework, or can be used by parents at home to enhance children's understanding of this topic. We recommend completing them in the following order; 1. Intro Lessons. 2. Describing London during the great fire. 3. Diary entry or news article. 4. Firefighting then and now.
