1666 Newspaper extract and writing template

Encourage children to become reporters in 1666 and write a report about an aspect of the Great Fire of London.  The activity will encourage the children to use their knowledge about the Great Fire of London and the template will help them structure their writing.

Use this extract and report template to stimulate some report writing in your class.  Use this after the children have completed some lessons about the Great Fire of London so that they have background knowledge to use in the task.  The associated lesson plan has ideas for the children to write about in their report.
