This collection of safety education resources has been carefully selected for Northern Ireland Key Stage 2 (P5-P7) home educators and links to the Personal Development and Mutual Understanding (PDMU) curriculum. Through engaging activities, videos, worksheets and discussion opportunities, children will explore a range of important safety topics, helping them to recognise hazards, make informed decisions, develop resilience and understand how to keep themselves and others safe in everyday situations.

How To Use

These resources are designed to be used flexibly within a home education setting. Select individual resources to support specific safety topics or combine several activities to create a wider safety education programme. Encourage children to participate in discussions, reflect on real-life scenarios and share their own experiences to deepen learning. Activities can be adapted to suit different abilities and learning styles, helping children build the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to stay safe at home, in their community and online.
