This lesson helps KS2 pupils develop the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe near roads as pedestrians, cyclists and scooter users. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, pupils will learn about road hazards, safe road-crossing techniques, cycle and scooter safety, and the importance of making responsible choices as vulnerable road users.

How To Use

Use the accompanying presentation to guide pupils through key road safety topics, including the Green Cross Code, safe crossing points, cycling and scooter safety, and the importance of visibility and helmets. Encourage discussion throughout and use the video and scenario-based activities to reinforce learning and promote safe behaviours.
