This lesson introduces pupils to the topics of bullying and online safety, helping them recognise different types of bullying, understand the impact bullying can have on others, and learn how to stay safe when using the internet. Through discussion, interactive activities and real-life scenarios, pupils will explore positive ways to seek help, report concerns and support others.

How To Use

Use the accompanying presentation to guide pupils through discussions about bullying and online safety. Begin by exploring pupils' existing knowledge and perceptions of bullying before introducing the different categories of bullying and completing the sorting activity. Encourage reflection on how bullying can affect individuals and where to seek support. Continue with the online safety section, discussing internet risks, safe online behaviours and scenario-based activities. Finish with the video and quiz activities to reinforce key learning points. Additional worksheets, wordsearches and poster activities can be used for consolidation, extension work or homework.
