These activities have been chosen to support our KS1 Fire Safety school talks. After we have visited your school, the activities can be used to enhance student knowledge and understanding of the work of the fire and rescue service and fire safety through fun games and more practical activities.
How To Use
We suggest that the 'Stop Drop and Roll' activity is used in the hall so that the students have a big open space in which to practice. The interactive games and wordsearch can be used in small class groups, and the creative building and drawing tasks could be used to create a colourful display in your classroom. There are also some interactive storybooks to use for reading time with your class to help build literacy and share important safety messages.
