Planning your escape route from a building is a vital part of learning about keeping safe. If the smoke alarm goes off at home, do you know your quickest route out?

Children can complete the questions using the plan provided. A great activity to consolidate learning about escape routes and how to keep safe at home as part of PSHE lessons or a fire safety week. This resource also highlights the hazards to be aware of as you try to exit a building, such as locked doors. Could also be used in conjunction with the 'Escape Plan Layout' worksheet to further extend the learning.
