The fire and rescue service attend many different types of emergencies and incidents and some of these involve animal rescues. This colouring activity shows a firefighter rescuing a dog from a house. Colouring activities can be used to help build fine motor skills and promote mindfulness, whilst allowing children the opportunity to expand their imaginations. This colouring activity can be used as a stand alone activity or to support and consolidate learning following topics such as people who help us or home fire safety.
How To Use
Children can get creative and colour in this animal rescue picture using any method they choose, will it be with crayons, colouring pencils, paints or felt pens? Perhaps the children would like to get even more creative and use glitter, tissue paper or foil to enhance their pictures? However they choose to complete their picture, this activity will provide a great discussion point around the role of a Firefighter.
