Colouring activities can be used to help build fine motor skills and promote mindfulness, whilst allowing children the opportunity to expand their imaginations.  This colouring activity can be used as a stand alone activity or to support and consolidate learning following topics such as 'Home Fire Safety'.

How To Use

An important fire safety message accompanies thhis colouring activity which shows a Firefighter standing next to a fire engine.  The fire safety message reads ' Get out, Stay out, Call 999'.  Teach the children an important lesson about how to get help in an emergency while they use their artistic skills to colour in the fire engine.  Children can get creative and colour in this picture using any method they choose, will it be with crayons, colouring pencils, paints or felt pens?  Perhaps the children would like to get even more creative and use glitter, tissue paper or foil to enhance their pictures?  However they choose to complete their picture, this activity will provide a great discussion point around what to do in an emergency.
