Description
This presentation is part of the 'Water Safety Passport' lesson and accompanies the story 'A Day by the Water' which tells the tale of Choppy and Ruff who are best friends on a fun day out. The slides contain images to help bring the story to life for the children. There is also a water safety song incorporated into the presentation.
How To Use
Use these workshop slides to support delivery of the 'Water Safety Passport' activity. On the story script the slide numbers that correspond to each part of the story are shown so that the pictures can be linked to the correct part of the story as you read it to the class. The song words for the water hero song are also on the slides so the children can sing along. If you view this in slideshow mode, then the page links will help you navigate and play the song when you are ready.
Click on 'Resource 1' below to find the story script. 'Resource 2' is a 'Spot the Dangers' activity that can be used as part of the lesson and 'Resource 3' is a certificate to celebrate completion of this session.
