Safety Zone: Water Safety Video

This is a video all about staying safe near open water. It is narrated by a child to engage the children listening and deliver the information in a way that they can understand. The video covers important tips about what to do if you fall into cold water and demonstrates how to help someone else who needs rescuing.

There is a lesson plan accompanying this video giving details about delivering a session based on the video. There are also two cartoon pictures linked, that show busy beach and river scenes for the children to analyse and spot the dangers. The video and activities are aimed at KS2 pupils.
