Safety Zone: Water Safety

This lesson plan links to a video all about staying safe near open water. It is narrated by a child to engage the children listening and deliver the information in a way that they can understand. The lesson plan gives ideas on how to develop a lesson using the video.

Use this lesson plan to support you when delivering a session based on the water safety video. There are also two cartoon pictures linked, that show busy beach and river scenes for the children to analyse and spot the dangers. The video and activities are aimed at KS2 pupils.

'Resource 1' is the water safety video needed for this lesson.

'Resource 2' is the picture of the beach scene and 'Resource 3' is the river scene picture.
