The aim of this session is to introduce the fire and rescue service equipment.
The key objectives covered in this session are:
- To identify three pieces of firefighter personal, protective equipment.
- To describe an incident where specialist equipment is used.
- To explain the importance of routine checks on a fire station.

This is the fourth session in Module 2 of Fire Cadet Award 1. Cadets should have completed Session 1 - Functions and Responsibilities, Session 2 - Structure and Session 3 - Response, prior to this session.
