An English lesson with a fire safety theme, which uses a newspaper article to develop comprehension skills before asking students to develop their writing skills by creating a fire safety leaflet.
How To Use
The meaning of Inference and advice are discussed. Students are presented with a news article, giving true facts of a house fire which they are encouraged to analyse. This presentation then shares fire safety information with the students, dealing with causation and preventative measures. Students are then invited to formulate an advice leaflet dealing with home fire safety.
