Mini-Policing (Drugs and Alcohol)

Description

The Mini-Police scheme is a fantastic series of lessons to educate Year 5 and 6 children about the police and their role. The sessions could be delivered by a police representative or by the class teacher. This session focuses on drugs and alcohol with the objective of helping the children understand the dangers of misusing them and the effects that they can have on our bodies.

How To Use

This lesson plan is part of the Mini-Police scheme which is a series of lessons focusing on developing trust between young people and the police. This lesson focuses on drugs and alcohol. There is a presentation, a set of risk cards, some true/false cards and an information sheet about drugs to be used as part of the lesson, also available. Combined, these resources provide everything you need to deliver this session to your Upper KS2 class.
