This KS3 lesson plan supports the delivery of learning around Halloween safety, bonfires, fireworks and anti-social behaviour. Through discussion, interactive activities and a real-life case study, students explore how to stay safe during the Halloween and bonfire season, understand the risks associated with fireworks and deliberate fire-setting, and learn about the legal and personal consequences of anti-social behaviour.

How To Use

Use this lesson plan alongside the associated Halloween Safety, Bonfire, Fireworks and Anti-Social Behaviour – Key Stage 3 presentation to deliver a 30 to 40-minute session. Follow the facilitator notes provided for each slide to guide discussions, activities and knowledge checks. The lesson can be delivered by teachers or fire and rescue service personnel, and can be adapted for assemblies, whole-class sessions or smaller groups using the suggested interactive activities.

The presentation for this lesson can be found below.
