This activity helps strengthen pupils’ understanding of what to do in the event of witnessing an emergency in the water. The aim is to communicate that calling 999 or 112 and telling them that someone is in trouble in the water is the best action to take.

How To Use

This is a fun and engaging way to challenge the children to consider how they would react in different emergency situations.  Use this plan alongside the attached presentation, to deliver important PSHE massages or as a unique topic to inspire instructional writing in English. In the heat of the moment, would they be able to remember how to help without putting themselves in danger?
