This water safety resource bundle has been developed to support Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in delivering engaging and informative water safety education sessions for children and young people. The resources aim to increase awareness of water-related risks, promote safer behaviours around rivers, canals, lakes, reservoirs, and the coast, and provide practical guidance on what to do in an emergency.
How To Use
The resources can be used in schools, youth groups, community settings, and targeted intervention programmes. Facilitators can choose individual activities or combine materials to deliver a complete water safety session. The bundle includes presentations aimed at KS3, SEND learners and a virtual session for independent/home learning.
Resources can be adapted to suit different age groups and learning needs. The materials are intended to help children and young people develop the knowledge and confidence to stay safe in, on, and around water.
