The aim of this Lesson is to teach children and young people about anti-social behaviour involving fire. Throughout the lesson they will learn what this type of anti-social behaviour is and the consequences of deliberate fire setting. There is a video to watch that shows an example of a situation where a small deliberate fire goes very wrong. The consequences discussed are the risk to the safety of the individual, firefighters, and the families of everyone involved, and the long-term consequences for the individual and their family.

This presentation can be used for the assembly, KS2 lesson and KS3 lesson on this topic. There is guidance on using this presentation effectively in each of the lesson plans.

There is a video contained in the presentation to share with the children and young people; encourage them to reflect on the safety risks and consequences of deliberate fire-setting after watching.
