The aim of this Lesson is to teach children and young people about anti-social behaviour involving fire. Throughout the lesson they will learn what this type of anti-social behaviour is and the consequences of deliberate fire setting. There is a video to watch that shows an example of a situation where a small deliberate fire goes very wrong. Students are encouraged to reflect on the video in terms of considering the risks and consequences. The consequences discussed are the risk to the safety of the individual, firefighters, and the families of everyone involved, and the long-term consequences for the individual and their family.

How To Use

There is a presentation that accompanies this plan which has a video embedded to share with the students. This plan contains ideas of how to deliver the key messages to KS2 children.
