The aim of this session is to give cadets an understanding of water safety and rescue techniques used by the fire and rescue service.

The key objectives are for fire cadets to:

  • Know actions, equipment and procedures used by the fire and rescue service when dealing with emergencies in and around water sources

How To Use

This presentation is for Unit 23 for Fire Cadet Award 2. Cadets should have completed all of Fire Cadet Award 1 before beginning to work on Award 2. Your instructors will be able to explain the structure of Fire Cadet Award 2 and which units are mandatory and which are optional.
