Description
A set of bright picture cards displaying items that could be packed for a day by the water. Children can use the cards to identify which of the items they think they should take with them to help them stay safe and enjoy their day. This activity will engage the children in learning about water safety. These cards should be used with the 'What Shall We Pack?' worksheet that provides a sorting table.
How To Use
Ask the children to study the pictures and decide what the items are and whether they think they would need to take them for a day by the water. Encourage discussion among the class while they decide why each item might be important. Use the sorting worksheet to organise the pictures into the categories: not important, quite important and very important.
