This fun and interactive maze activity helps children learn about safe escape routes in the event of a fire. Using the character Noisy, children are encouraged to think about how to leave a building safely by finding two different ways out of a house. The activity reinforces important fire safety messages in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate way, helping children understand the importance of planning how to get out safely.

How To Use

This activity is ideal for younger children and can be used in classrooms or at home. Adults can:

  • Ask children to trace two safe escape routes through the maze using a pencil
  • Talk about why it is important to have more than one way out of a building
  • Discuss what children should do once they have safely left (e.g. stay outside and call for help)
  • Link the activity to their own home by talking about possible escape routes
  • Reinforce key fire safety messages through discussion and repetition
