This presentation is aimed at year 1 - 3 and encourages learners to think about Halloween Safety. Learners will develop knowledge on risks and hazards Halloween can present, understand some of the ways they can keep themselves and others safe and be able to consider how Halloween, in particular trick or treating, can make others feel.
How To Use
The presenter will advise on how to keep safe and spot potential hazards over the Halloween and fireworks period. Pupils will be encouraged to identify ways to stay safe and consider the impact of their actions on others in their local community when trick and treating. Using the support notes in the lesson plan and presentation slides, encourage group discussions on how people may behave / celebrate and dangers associated with Halloween. Encourage the learners to consider safe places to hang decorations, pedestrian safety when trick and treating and personal safety.
