This session covers several important safety messages and has been created by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. Firstly, the students will learn about the role of firefighters, then they will learn that preventing a fire is the best way to stay safe at home. They will discuss the importance of smoke alarms and escape plans in the event that the smoke alarm goes off. Finally, they are introduced to the serous issues of arson and hoax calls; focusing on the consequences and watching an animated scenario to explain why they can be so dangerous.
