This session looks at the main causes of fire in the home and how to prevent fires from happening. It explores a bedtime routine and how to escape in the event of a fire. It also looks at the impact of a fire and the importance of working smoke alarms in the home. It provides time for facilitated conversation and activities with learners around key topics and involves learners by giving them the opportunity to engage and explore fire safety in the home.

How To Use
This session has been designed to be delivered to students aged 11 - 16 who attend a PRU. The session encourages discussion and has two activities for student participation. If time is restricted, the presentation can be used without the extra activities. Within the lesson plan there are also different delivery method options for the activities.
