The aim of this session is to introduce smoke alarms in relation to home fire safety.
The key objectives covered are:
- To understand where smoke alarms should be situated in the home.
- To be able to test a smoke alarm to ensure it is working correctly.
- To know what to do if a smoke alarm is activated.

This is session 6 in Module 1 of the Fire Cadet Award 1 certification course. The cadets should complete the sessions in this module in order.
