This lesson reinforces the properties of 3D shapes. During this lesson, students will use their knowledge and prior learning to identify the correct 3D shapes from it's net. Then, there is an opportunity for students to engage in a practical activity to build a 3D fire engine using a net. They will need to cut, fold and stick the cuboid shape together to create their fire engine.
How To Use
Use this as a cross-curricular lesson to engage the students in a practical shape activity to reinforce their numeracy learning and through discussion and exploration of the fire engine, the students can also think about the fire service and the job that they do to keep our communities safe.
