The Coastguard know how important it is for everyone to understand how to stay safe at the beach. This lesson can be shared as a water safety lesson to teach the children what to do in an emergency at the beach.

Whether it's water safety week at school or a stand-alone lesson this story is a great way to introduce the topic. Whilst working through the resources and watching the film with the children, use the questions to ask them what they would do in an emergency at the coast.
