Description
This is the final lesson in the Grace Darling unit and provides an opportunity for the pupils to link their learning about Grace Darling to the work of the modern RNLI. The lesson is centered around a video showing other brave women who have been recognised by the RNLI for their heroic actions - just as Grace was all those years ago.
How To Use
Use this lesson to show the children that the RNLI is still run by volunteers who spend their time keeping people safe at sea. It will finalise the Grace Darling unit and allow the pupils time for some personal reflection.
