This session covers several important safety messages and has been created by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. Firstly, the children will learn about the role of firefighters, then they will be introduced to safety messages about: lighters and matches; what to do when they hear a smoke alarm; crossing the road safely and what do if your clothes catch fire. Finally, they share the Birthday Cake Mistake story and have the opportunity to discuss and contribute ideas as they progress through the events in the story.
