When we think back to 1666 and look at the equipment that they had, it is clear to see why the Great Fire of London spread so far and caused so much devastation. These activities show the children images of firefighting equipment from the past and present and encourages them to look for the changes over time.
How To Use
Use these activities as part of a unit of work on The Great Fire of London to highlight the differences between the equipment that the people of London used to fight the fire in 1666 and our modern firefighting equipment.
