This lesson plan is for the aspiration level session about how to stay safe during the bonfire and Halloween period. The session covers important safety messages explaining why bonfires, fireworks and trick or treating can be dangerous and why making hoax calls during this period can have serious consequences.  Students get a chance to join in by engaging in some sensory experiences, communicate their understanding with their preferred communication style and learn how to stay safe during bonfire and Halloween season, about hoax calls and anti-social behaviour (ASB).

How To Use

Use this plan to support delivery of this session. The plan includes details about the physical resources needed to create a truly sensory experience for the students. There is guidance on how to promote interaction and enjoyment while the students are learning the important safety messages.
