Description
The interventions in the toolkit are aimed at a target audience of young road users aged between 16 and 24 years old. The aim is to provide a variety of styles of intervention that meet industry approved criteria. Each intervention will offer high quality, evidence based and evaluated road safety education. By following the guidelines outlined in each intervention’s resources, you will gain a deeper understanding of the theoretical underpinnings, the step-by-step implementation procedures, and strategies for adapting the intervention to various contexts. Whether you are an educator, road safety professional or organisation seeking to make a positive difference, the resources in this toolkit will equip you with the necessary tools and knowledge to roll out each of the toolkit’s young road user education interventions effectively.
How To Use
When using an intervention downloaded from the toolkit, it is strongly advised programmes are delivered as designed and evaluated, and that any variation to this approach should be carefully considered and fully evaluated. Intervention providers have included details as to how they intend each intervention to be delivered. All the interventions come with course overviews, lesson plans, evaluation documents and all the resources required for successful delivery. Many of the interventions centre around videos which have interactive tasks embedded within, to encourage discussion and engagement from the students.
