Shining a spotlight on incredible volunteers

As Volunteers' Week begins, the StayWise Team would like to recognise all the brilliant volunteers who use our resources and contribute their time to different organisations all over the UK. 

Whether it’s with Scouts, Cubs, Brownies, Rainbows or Beavers, armed forces or emergency services cadets, local sports groups, community childcare, childhood befriending, mentoring and mental health support, faith groups and Sunday schools, forest and garden learning settings, StayWise continues to provide high quality, trusted safety resources direct to volunteers to use with the children and young people they work with. 

Volunteering is a huge commitment, often alongside work, studying, family or caring responsibilities. Thousands of hours every week are devoted to supporting children and young people through the contribution volunteers make and Volunteers’ Week is a chance to acknowledge that contribution and to say thank you. 

A very special thank you to all the volunteer UK Fire Cadet Instructors that are working to support local fire cadet units. Your contribution to the development of our firefighters of the future, to the structure, environment and instruction you provide, the kindness, care and safeguarding you offer is in the very best spirit of volunteering and we know how much you mean to all of our UK Fire Cadets.
