Description
Frozen water poses a whole new set of hazards and it is important for children to understand that even if the ice on a lake or river may look thick, they should never attempt to walk on it. Use this image to teach some of the key safety messages about frozen bodies of water.
How To Use
Using the list of safety rules at the side of the picture, challenge the children to match them to the characters in the picture. The red circles on the image allow them to add the number that matches the behaviour spotted. They can also colour in the picture to make the dangers even clearer. There are also extension tasks included with more winter safety activities.
