The aim of this session is to provide Fire Cadets with an awareness and experience of working with various types of hose.
The key objectives are for fire cadets to:
- Identify a range of ancillary equipment.
- Identify where the various types of hose would be stored.
- Identify where the ancillary equipment would be stored.
- Set up hoses and associated equipment to operate with pumping appliances.
- Understand and be able to use hand signals.

This session plan provides the details needed to successfully deliver this session to the Fire Cadets. This is a practical session and health and safety must be considered carefully and appropriate measures must be in place.
