The aim of this session is to provide Fire Cadets with an awareness and experience of working with various types of hose.

The key objectives are for fire cadets to:

  • Identify a range of ancillary equipment.
  • Identify where the various types of hose would be stored.
  • Identify where the ancillary equipment would be stored.
  • Set up hoses and associated equipment to operate with pumping appliances.
  • Understand and be able to use hand signals.

How To Use

This session plan provides the details needed to successfully deliver this session to the Fire Cadets. Check the resources list on the plan to ensure that you have everything that is needed for the session. This is a practical session and health and safety must be considered carefully and appropriate measures must be in place.
