The aim of this session is to provide Fire Cadets with the knowledge to perform basic Squad Drill manoeuvres.

The key objectives covered are for fire cadets to be able to:

  • Name and describe the different types of squad drill manoeuvres.
  • Form a parade.
  • Perform the different stationary Squad Drill manoeuvres.
  • To demonstrate a Fire Cadet parade.

How To Use

This is the seventh session in Module 4 - Operational Drills. Fire Cadets must have undertaken manual handling and basic health and safety training.  Appropriate PPE should be issued and in good condition. Operational equipment should be tested and approved before use and cadet records should be reviewed for known medical conditions and physical limitations.
