This 1-1 activity is designed for delivery to Key Stage 2 children and young people (CYP). The session encourages CYP to make independent and sensible choices. It is designed to give the CYP topics to think about and then go through an open discussion to reach a solution. This enables a higher level of learning, including comprehension and application as well as knowledge acquisition.
How To Use
Use this with individual children that have been identified as displaying increased curiosity about fire or have already been involved in potentially dangerous fire-setting activities. Use this plan to support you in delivering this session. The activity involves using scenario cards that need to be placed into a timeline order. The plan also includes lots of ideas for questions that you could use to prompt meaningful discussion with the CYP while undertaking the activity.
